Favorite Restaurants & Bars In Barcelona
Now that you’ve read my Ultimate Barcelona City Guide and you’ve made it to this page, you’re wondering where to eat? Well, I wrote this blog about my Favorite Restaurants & Bars in Barcelona to help you decide. Of course there are a million restaurants I haven’t explored yet but you can follow the inspirational food instagram accounts:

Also, during lunch time many restaurant have “Menu del día” which usually includes an appetizer, entree and dessert & drink/coffee for typically around 10€ – 15€. You can find a list of the popular ones here.
Favorite Restaurants
Cerveceria Catalana
Carrer de Mallorca, 236, 08008 Barcelona
Mon – Sun 9am – 1:30am
This is one of my favorite places to go to and is a must. Keep in mind, it gets busy around 2-3:30ish and 8-11pm so avoid going around those hours. Make sure to order the huevos cabreados, jamon croquettes, steak with foie and sangria.
Can Paixano – Cash Only

People say you haven’t experienced Barcelona until you’ve been here. Fair warning – it’s a tiny hole in the wall. It will be crowded so don’t be intimidated. You have to squeeze your way to the front. Order their chorizo mixed plate, and the Rosé Cava. I recommend you take some bottles back home to the states. There’s a separate kiosk for bottles to go and it costs less than 3€.
El Nacional – Used to be a parking lot and they turned it into this! It’s a great place to have drinks and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from

La Fonda

There are 2 locations. I went to the one in Gotic. La Fonda is a great tapas restaurant with good quality ingredients and NOT OVERPRICED. Did I mention you can make reservations here as well??
La Paradeta – Fresh seafood – just tell the chef how you want it cooked. There are several locations. Best time to go is during lunch.
Teresa Carles – Vegetarian and vegan friendly

Hawker 45 – Asian fusion restaurant

La Pizza Del Sortidor – best pizza from Naples, Italy – CASH ONLY
Carrer Blasco de Garay, 46, 08004 Barcelona
Sun – Sat 8pm – 12am, Thurs – Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm
On Tuesdays & Wednesday all pizzas are 8€
Asador De Aranda – There are a couple locations. This particular one is super nice!

Mon – Saturday 1pm – 4:30pm, 8pm – 12am
Sunday 1pm – 4:30pm
Go here if you want to eat traditional Spanish “Cochinillo” which is baby suckling pig. Don’t let the pics fool you. The skin is so crispy and the meat so tender. Lamb is also excellent!

Arcano

Makamaka Beach Burger Cafe – feeling like a burger? This is the spot to be.
