Dog Friendly Restaurants/Activities in San Diego

Bring your fur babies to San Diego! This city is dog friendly and I want to thank my friends for suggesting things to do here. We only stayed 2 days so we couldn’t do everything but I’m sure we’ll be back another time.

Great location – not the fanciest hotel but I don’t believe in paying a lot for hotels because we’re usually out all day. They charge extra for pets however if you have a service animal, the fee is waived. Free WiFi, swimming pool and hot tub.
Ocean Beach Dog Beach – Plenty of free parkingIMG_5634
Coronado Dog Beach – Plenty of free parking, next to military base
I liked Coronado Beach better because it was less crowded. If you go here, be sure to keep you dog leashed until you’re in the designated area.
Balboa Park – we rented a two person bicycle and rode around the park. $25 for 1 hour rental.
Near our hotel was the Fashion Valley outdoor shopping mall.
Fashion Valley San Diego
Walk around Gaslamp Quarter – It’s popping at night time.

Restaurants – all these places had outdoor seating

Phil’s BBQ – over 11,000+ reviews on Yelp

Lucha Libre – burritos and tacos were so bomb we went there two days in a row

Bahn Thai – authentic tasty Thai. Try the papaya salad – you won’t be disappointed.
Tocumbo Ice Cream – Mega Mangoneada is a must – It’s mango ice cream with mango fruits topped with chili Chamoy sauce.
